Acrylic and emulsion on plasterboard wall (120cm x 120cm)
Arthur was a commission for an Eatery in Cannock, where they specialise in fish and chips. They asked for a large portrait of an old weathered fisherman who looks like he has spent most of his life at sea. The most enjoyable part of this portrait was playing around with the wild straggly hair in his beard. A good friend of mine pointed out that he looks a little like Neptune, the Roman god of the sea.
