Crimpiau Panorama

Crimpiau Panorama

Spent a day on Crimpiau in Snowdonia producing watercolour sketches in in preparation for this painting. It was so cold that i needed 2 pairs of gloves on, and had to mix gin with the water to stop it freezing . The weather was wild and dramatic, literally changing minute by minute. Amazing to witness how the weather systems can transform the landscape, changing the mood and atmosphere of a place many times over in just one single day.
