This is my painting of Maureen Whitehouse, a former Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Great Bridge. An amazing & inspiring lady who has dedicated nearly 50 years voluntary service to her local community. I was asked to paint Maureen as part of a portrait project organised by 'The Art Yard' to honour & celebrate people in the Black Country who deserved recognition for their services to the local community. 

It was a real pleasure to spend time with Maureen, and we soon discovered that we had a lot in common. After talking about my daughter Daisy, she revealed that Daisies were her favourite flowers - Can you spot the Daisy?
