Dance of the Rhonndas

Dance of the Rhonndas

I had been exploring some woodland close to home when i stumbled upon a group of Rhododendron bushes. Sunlight was bursting through the branches and lighting up the petals and leaves, giving me a dazzling display of colour. I sat down to immerse myself in the moment, absorb the detail and enjoy the show. It was only during my painting of this piece that i noticed a dancer with her arms upright in the centre of the painting amongst the leaves and light, and she inspired the title.
